Aside from the fresh culinary scene in Ireland families can also enjoy classics like the best traditional ice cream at Murphy’s Ice Cream in Dingle, or take a trip to see one of the oldest food markets, The English Market in Cork.
Kids will also love fish and chips, mashed potatoes, chicken wings, and Irish breakfasts.
When it comes to fine dining in Ireland, the best meal of my life was had in Dublin at Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, Ireland’s top place to fine dine. You must check this place out if you have a Michelin Star bucket list.

When we think about things to do in Ireland with kids, we often first think of the Cliffs of Mohr, Blarney Castle, or Temple Bar.
However, Ireland has many less touristy attractions like visiting gardens and parks. From the Delta Sensory Gardens in Carlow to the National Botanical Gardens in Dublin or The Ewe Experience - Sculpture Garden in Cork Ireland, you will find an abundance of gardens to visit in Ireland with kids.
It’s a great way to see history and culture while enjoying nature and art. Many of these places have food nearby too!

Who does not have a castle craving? When visiting Ireland from the States, encountering a castle is a rare occurrence. In America, fortresses, prehistoric sites, and medieval ruins are as commonplace as billboards and fast food chains. However, in Ireland, they are abundant. It's a destination where everyone in the family can satisfy their castle cravings. For a truly distinctive experience, you can even opt to stay at a castle hotel, just as we did.

As we went through customs at Dublin Airport upon our arrival, a friendly local worker greeted us with a cheerful "Happy days..." Who says that nowadays? People in Ireland do..

Also, it seems that Irish people have a fancy for "popping" in and out of places. You might overhear someone casually saying, "Oh, I'll just pop into the ladies' room." Who pops into places? Irish people do…

And when you find yourself sitting at any bar in Ireland, rest assured that a local old man will have at least one captivating story to share with you.

It's these charming nuances that truly make everyday life in Ireland feel like an unforgettable journey.
